Vivek Kothari

Chair of Whistleblower Law Partners

Attorney Vivek Kothari leads our mission of representing professionals who bravely step up to report fraud, misconduct, and corruption. As Chair of the firm, Vivek focuses exclusively on helping people pursue claims under the False Claims Act and other whistleblower laws. He has represented clients across the country in matters involving government contractor fraud, customs violations, Medicare billing schemes, and emerging areas like AI and algorithmic abuse.

Before founding Whistleblower Law Partners, Vivek served as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he led investigations and prosecutions of public corruption, cybercrime, and organized crime. He has tried cases involving corporate fraud, drug trafficking, and even attempted murder of law enforcement officials. Plus, early on in his career, Vivek worked at NASA; here he developed a strong foundation in science and technology, which is a huge asset in today’s data-driven fraud cases. His background gives our firm a clear advantage in evaluating and building whistleblower claims that involve federal agencies, complex evidence, and high financial stakes. Vivek was a finalist for the position of U.S. Attorney for Oregon, a recognition of his track record and leadership within the legal community.

Vivek has litigated matters resulting in multimillion-dollar recoveries and has led efforts to reform the legal system through pro bono work and public service. He co-founded the Oregon Clemency Project to advocate for a more just and equitable clemency process, and he is currently the only Oregon attorney admitted to The Anti-Fraud Coalition. As an Oregon whistleblower lawyer with both trial and investigative experience, he understands how to develop whistleblower cases from the ground up, working closely with clients through each phase of the legal process.

As an experienced Oregon whistleblower attorney, Vivek is known for his unwavering commitment to the individuals and principles behind every case. If you’re considering reporting fraud or wrongdoing, working with an attorney who has the capability to effectively support and guide you is everything. At Whistleblower Law Partners, we’re proud to offer that leadership. Reach out to learn how Vivek can help you take the next step toward justice.
